Calling all 15-17 year olds

National Citizen Service programme

The National Citizen Service programme (NCS) is designed for young people aged 15-17 to challenge themselves, build life skills, gain responsibility and independence, have an impact on their local community and socially mix in an enjoyable environment.

The programme consists of a week’s residential trip to an outdoor activity centre to take part in activities such as mountain climbing and kayaking, this is followed by another weeks residential where participants will be completing team challenges and different workshops such as a first aid course. To finish the programme the young people must then plan and deliver their very own community project, last year our young people from the summer programme renovated a local church and hosted a quiz night that raised over £750 for the Fleetwood RNLI. After completing the programme you are awarded a certificate signed by the Prime Minister awarded at our graduation event.

NCS not only looks great on your CV but also contributes towards UCAS points if you are looking at progressing to higher education. After graduating you are entered into the NCS database and provided exclusive apprenticeship and volunteering opportunities to further progress your CV; current graduates include the winner of the voice 2017 Mo Adeniran!

The programmes run all year round however the date for our current summer programme is the 31st July, if you are interested in coming on this programme or registering your interest for a future programme please email Michael.Wilkinson@fleetwoodtownfc.com or contacting him on 07464491185.
